What is Blackboard and How Will it be Used in Your Child’s Classroom?
This year each teacher, in conjunction with their grade partner, will be maintaining a Blackboard site. Blackboard is an online management tool that highlights the main components of teaching and learning: instructional delivery and content management; professional development; communication; and evaluation and assessment. In addition to bridging the home and school connection, this tool will help to reinforce classroom curriculum and instruction at home. Blackboard is a secure site requiring a username and password. Teachers will post announcements, homework assignments, and other necessary classroom information on a weekly basis. Parents and students will be able to see the assignments for the week and upcoming events in the classroom.
How Do I Login?
You will need a username and password to access your child’s Blackboard site. You should have recieved your login information earlier this year from your child’s teacher. If you did not receive this information, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
