Sra. Nicole Maldonado: Assistant Principal
Nicole Maldonado joined the Key family in the summer of 2016. She is a native of the borough of Queens in New York City and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Ms. Maldonado attended the Baruch College, CUNY where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.
While beginning her career in the business world, Ms. Maldonado returned to school to earn her Masters of Education in Secondary Education with a concentration in Foreign Language – Spanish (2011). She began her work in elementary education as a teacher in the areas of FLES and Spanish teacher in the middle school. In 2011 she began to work as a Spanish teacher at Woodgrove High School in Loudon County, Virginia where she lead the Spanish III curriculum team and sponsored the student Spanish Honor Society. She has classroom expertise in the field of special education as well as program instructional development for struggling learners. Lastly, in the summer of 2015, Ms. Maldonado completed her Educational Administration certificate in the George Washington University.
She loves to cook, travel, and spend quality time with her daughter and husband. Ms. Maldonado is very excited to be a part of the Key School family this year!
